Welcome

A message from Sean Kelly, Chief Executive.

Joining a Multi Academy Trust can feel like one of the most daunting decisions a Headteacher and Local Governing Body will make. But it should not be like that. We welcome future partnerships with schools that align with our vision and values for all children, particularly those deemed most vulnerable in society. Schools that join the Trust are, like our children, valued members of a small group of schools, not one voice lost among many.

Trust Principals retain autonomy as their school headteacher, but they also become part of a dynamic network of other Principals, senior leaders, local governors and trustees. All of whom are fully involved in decision making at every level, a culture designed to foster our shared vision for all of our children.

You should expect to enjoy regular face-to-face support from me as chief executive and other key colleagues who shape the Trust accountability framework. Specialist and administrative support enables our Principals to focus on what matters most, no longer having to juggle their role as Principal with the demands of finance, human resource, IT and operational estate matters. These vital areas of support help our school leaders to focus their efforts on achieving the best possible outcomes for each child through an unwavering focus on teaching, learning and improvement.

All schools view MAT membership as beneficial; examples include access to nine trust-wide improvement networks, increased pupil numbers, extra income, in excess of three million pounds worth of successful Condition Improvement Funding applications across the group in the last two years, improved attendance by accessing the central attendance and welfare team and, the annual CPD conference, valued by staff as an event they enjoyed immensely.
